Nasty Woman Cosmetics was born in 2017 out of the angst felt with the current political climate. Who hasn't been a little taken aback by the way the last election left us? I personally have always been interested in politics. After this past year I wanted to find a way to marry my interest in it to one of my other passions, makeup and find a way to somehow make a contribution to advancing women's rights.
Through my research I learned lipstick and especially red lipstick has been a long standing symbol of the feminist revolution. I also learned how horribly under represented progressive women are in government. The rest is history.
Gender equality and progress are at the forefront of our mission. Proceeds of our sales support progressive women who are running for office. We intend to make those who don't share our core values kiss their seats goodbye this Novemeber!
